Young & Restless 2026 Preview: Brace Yourself, ’Cause ‘Things Go Horribly Wrong’
A metaphorical earthquake is in store for Genoa City as 2025 turns into ’26, one that will leave half the canvas standing on shaky ground — that is, if they’re left standing at all!
Though at the moment, The Young and the Restless is focused on Victor’s takedown of longtime archenemy Jack — and efforts to keep The Mustache from utterly decimating John Abbott’s legacy — that’s all going to change in the new year. How so?

Despite Cane’s determination to prove to former wife Lily that he can be trusted, he’s apparently going to resume his attacks on Wisconsin’s titans of industry. As a result, the oil-and-water duo of Victor and Jack will “have to work together for the greater good,” executive producer/headwriter Josh Griffith tells Soap Opera Digest.
This doesn’t sound like it’s going to be just another case of the big-business bigwigs attempting to bury the hatchet in someone else’s back, either. Griffith says that what Victor and Nikki do to “slap Jack down” will have “massive fallout” for the Jabot boss and wife Diane.
The ongoing business battles won’t just affect core couples Victor and Nikki and Jack and Diane, either. The scribe promises that Adam and Chelsea and Michael and Lauren are also in the mix — and that may well be the last place that they wanna be when “things go really horribly wrong for the Newmans.”
