After being on the run for a while, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Dominic (Ethan Ray Clark) take a break. The two stop at a diner for lunch and Dominic asks Mariah about where they’re going. So far, she’s been secretive, but she finally gives the youngster a hint.

Mariah tells him that it’s the best hideout in the world and she’s taking him to a different country. So, where does Mariah plan to take Dominic? And will anyone figure out her plan before she’s able to flee the country with him?

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is reaching her breaking point with Victor (Eric Braeden). The Newman matriarch disagrees with her husband’s plan to use Lily (Christel Khalil) and the twins to retaliate against Cane (Billy Flynn). Needing someone to vent to, Nikki turns to Jack (Peter Bergman).

Nikki fills Jack in on Victor’s latest scheme and her concerns. She admits she’s worried about what Victor will do next and that he’ll take it too far. As an emotional Nikki declares she can’t take it anymore, Jack pulls her in for a hug.

The battle of wills continues between Victor and Cane. Victor thought he had Cane where he wanted him by threatening Lily and the twins. However, Cane is determined to protect his family and not let Victor win.

During the latest meeting, things became tense with Cane threatening Victor if any harm comes to his family. But it looks like Cane will be the one in harm’s way.

Victor summons Adam (Mark Grossman) to Cane’s train car where a shocking sight awaits him. Adam arrives to find Cane unconscious on the bed, while Victor sits in a nearby chair. “Is he…?” a horrified Adam begins to ask, immediately thinking the worst of his father.

While things look gloomy for Cane, odds are this isn’t the end for him. However, Adam might begin questioning his father’s plan and if Victor is going too far.
