The Yellowstone franchise is set to expand in 2026, with the arrival of the new spinoff Y: Marshals. Three further spinoffs are also on the way, one of which has seemingly already wrapped production on its second season.

 

 

According to TVInsider, The Madison star Elle Chapman recently hinted that filming has already finished for The Madison Season 2. In a now-expired Instagram Story from Dec. 20, 2025, Chapman shared a photo that appears to show the actor, her The Madison co-star Patrick J. Adams, and three other people walking on an airport tarmac. “And that’s a wrap on Season 2,” Chapman captioned the image.

Yellowstone’s upcoming sequel series The Dutton Ranch has reportedly resumed filming on its first season.

Slated for release in 2026 on Paramount+, the modern Western drama will see Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their roles as Montana power couple Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler.

It will pick up the pieces following the death of Beth’s ranch tycoon father, John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner), as they tackle more problems while raising their adoptive son, Carter (Finn Little).

Production on the series got started in 2025, and Collider has now confirmed that filming is steaming ahead in Fort Worth following a winter break.

They revealed that local casting notices have confirmed production on both The Dutton Ranch as well as Taylor Sheridan’s hit military thriller Lioness is underway once again.

Unfortunately, fans are still in the dark as to when exactly the Yellowstone spin-off will premiere after Paramount quietly shifted the release date from 2025 to 2026.

It’s speculated the series likely won’t arrive until the latter half of the year, though fans thankfully have the upcoming Marshals, led by Luke Grimes as Beth’s brother Kayce, to fill the Yellowstone-shaped hole in their lives from this March.

A synopsis for The Dutton Ranch reads: “Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch.

“With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”

The series has recently added Hollywood star Jai Courtney, who recently acted alongside Yellowstone’s Hassie Harrison in the thriller film Dangerous Animals, to the cast as a new rancher.
