The trio recently secured co-ownership of the legendary Cattlemen’s Steakhouse, a Stockyards staple for more than 75 years. According to a news release cited by Eater Dallas, Marti Taylor and Larry Heppe will also serve as part-owners as the eatery undergoes major changes, including a $2.7 million renovation already in progress.

Despite the upcoming changes, Sheridan and his partners intend to preserve “the core essence of the menu,” which currently features an array of comfort food classics such as beef, fish, grilled shrimp, and chicken. The group will have a high-quality reputation to maintain, as the location boasts a 4.2-star rating on Google Reviews.

This won’t be Sheridan’s first venture into the food industry. In addition to his developments in TV and film, he owns the Four Sixes Ranch in Guthrie, near Lubbock. The 260,000-acre ranch, acquired in 2022, has supplied cattle to restaurants including the Four Sixes Ranch Steakhouse at the Wynn Las Vegas and Cattlemen’s Steakhouse in the past, Eater Dallas reports.

As part of the restaurant’s evolution, Cattlemen’s will introduce a ritzy private members club located inside the restaurant, and accessible via a private elevator. Membership will be limited and cost a steep price of $3,000 annually, plus a one-time initiation fee of $1,000. A separate “corporate” membership will also be available for $9,000 a year for four members. It also requires a $1,000 initiation fee.

“Members can enjoy fine dining, a curated selection of wines, bourbon and crafted spirits, along with access to the club’s board room, member-only events and tastings,” the company’s website states. “Members will be granted priority access to Cattlemen’s patio performances featuring unique artists including friends of the owners and guest artists from time to time.”

Aside from these upgrades, Cattlemen’s has also been undergoing structural renovations. According to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction began in October 2024. Plans include more than 20,000 square feet of new space, including a remodeled interior, outdoor patio and renovated basement.

These developments are expected to be complete by summer 2025, Eater Dallas reports. However, those interested in applying for a spot in the private club can already apply via the restaurant’s website.
