Yellowstone creator’s “terrifically tense” crime thriller has just landed on Prime Video
Hell or High Water, a crime thriller written by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, has just landed on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland.
The 2016 neo-Western follows two brothers who turn to bank robbery in order to save their family ranch, as well as the two Texas rangers who are trying to chase them down.

Don’t Worry Darling’s Chris Pine and X-Men: The Last Stand’s Ben Foster star as the brothers, while Tron’s Jeff Bridges and Twilight’s Gil Birmingham play the rangers.
It serves as the second part of Sheridan’s American Frontier Trilogy, after 2015’s Sicario and before 2017’s Wind River.
If this sounds up your street but you’re not a Prime Video subscriber, you’ll be glad to know that Hell or High Water is also currently available on Netflix.

The film has a near-perfect 97% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 287 reviews from critics. The consensus is that the movie “eschews mindless gunplay in favour of confident pacing and full-bodied characters”.
The Verge described Hell or High Water as “terrifically tense”, while The Atlantic hailed it as “one of the best movies of the year”. Empire dubbed it “a deceptively simple tale of Texan cops and robbers that drags the Old West into the modern age”.
Meanwhile, Sheridan is working on a new action thriller called F.A.S.T., which was originally meant to star Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy).
However, after multiple delays lasting nearly a decade, the project is now on track with someone else playing the lead role.
