Yellowstone creator’s ‘gripping’ crime drama gets exciting update days before season 3 premiere
Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone, has seen his equally popular crime drama Tulsa King renewed for a fourth season – just days before the third season is set to premiere.
The hit series, which stars Sylvester Stallone as a former New York mafia lieutenant, has been a massive hit for the streaming service Paramount+.

Stallone’s character, Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi, is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma by his boss to expand their empire after serving 25 years in prison.
However, he soon finds himself at odds with a local biker gang, The Black Macadams, and his personal life becomes complicated when he starts a relationship with Stacy Beale (played by Andrea Savage), the ATF agent investigating his criminal activities.
The third season, premiering this Sunday, 21st September, continues from a shocking cliffhanger where Dwight is kidnapped by masked gunmen, reports the Express.

Even before fans discover how he escapes from his latest predicament, Dwight’s future on Paramount+ has been secured with the announcement of a fourth season, just days before the premiere.
Following the series’ red carpet event in New York, Paramount not only confirmed another series is on the way but also that former head writer Terence Winter will be returning, as season three’s showrunner Dave Erikson makes his departure.
This exciting renewal shouldn’t come as a shock to most fans, especially since star and executive producer Stallone signed on for two more seasons when he inked a deal with Paramount last November.
Nevertheless, it represents a significant endorsement for the popular crime series, which also brings the prospect of additional instalments ahead.
Deadline reports that series four won’t mark the conclusion of Tulsa King’s journey.
Indeed, they indicate that Stallone is currently in discussions for a further two-year contract that might extend the programme to at least six series if viewing figures remain robust.
Audience backing shows no signs of weakening, with fan ratings for the initial two seasons standing at an remarkable 79 percent and 87 percent respectively on Rotten Tomatoes.
One viewer’s five-star Google assessment branded the programme as “Amazing. Just ridiculously good.
“Tulsa King is a gripping and captivating series that kept me hooked from the very first episode to the last,” they added.
“The storyline is rich with intrigue, well-developed characters, and unexpected twists. The acting is superb, and the production quality is top-notch.
