This marks the latest TV role for Harris in recent years, as he previously starred in the HBO drama “Westworld” throughout its four season run at the premium cabler and for which he earned an Emmy nomination in 2018. His other TV roles include the HBO miniseries “Empire Falls” and the HBO film “Game Change,” both of which earned him Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Harris is primarily known for his work in film and has received four Academy Award nominations. Those were for “The Hours,” “Pollock,” “The Truman Show,” and “Apollo 13.” Harris was also the director on “Pollock” in his feature directorial debut. He would then go on to direct, co-write, and star in the western “Appaloosa.”

Harris is repped by CAA, Ziffren Brittenham, and Jill Fritzo PR.

Chad Feehan will serve as showrunner and executive producer on “The Dutton Ranch.” “Yellowstone” mastermind Taylor Sheridan executive produces along with David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Christina Voros, Reilly, Hauser and Keith Cox. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios

Saddle up, Yellowstone fans—because Taylor Sheridan isn’t slowing down anytime soon. His next spinoff, The Madison, is already turning heads thanks to Michelle Pfeiffer in the lead role, and now another Hollywood heavyweight is officially on board: Kurt Russell. The big-screen legend is trading in movie sets for Montana and this news has fans buzzing about what’s next for Sheridan’s ever-expanding universe.

So, what exactly is The Madison? The new series tells the story of the McIntosh family, who leave New York City behind after a devastating loss. Their path leads them to Montana’s Madison River Valley, where the rugged setting becomes as much a part of the story as the people themselves. Paramount has called it a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection,” which hints this spinoff may tug at heartstrings as much as it delivers those sweeping Western stakes Sheridan is known for.
