Working on Taylor Sheridan’s New ‘Sicario’ Replacement Is “Demanding,” According to Star [Exclusive]
Taylor Sheridan’s long-awaited return to the big screen just got a massive update. Over the summer, it was reported that Sheridan was
writing a new action movie, F.A.S.T., which is already drawing comparisons to Sicario due to the drug crime thriller nature of both films.
1923 star Brandon Sklenar was the first actor attached to star in F.A.S.T., and he’s since been joined by other stars such as Sam Claflin,

LaKeith Stanfield, Jason Clarke, and more. Sheridan’s long-time cinematographer on projects such as Yellowstone and Mayor of Kingstown, Ben Richardson, is directing from Sheridan’s script.

Collider’s Christina Radish recently caught up with Claflin, who is currently on a press tour promoting his new project with Harlan Coben, Lazarus. She asked if working on F.A.S.T. has been challenging so far and if it was living up to everything he hoped: “I can’t speak too much

about F.A.S.T. yet, but for me, it’s been a joy. It’s a very, very different character to any of the roles I’ve done before. I’m playing a Southern American hillbilly, almost. It’s a departure for me, and people will see a very different side of me.”

Sheridan may be working on F.A.S.T. right now, but that doesn’t mean he’s slowing down his television empire on Paramount anytime soon. The third season of Tulsa King recently kicked off last month, and the fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown will begin streaming on Paramount+ in just a few weeks. That’s not all; the second season of Landman premieres on November 16, and Sheridan is also hard at work on the recently confirmed third season of Lioness. Sheridan has assembled an unprecedented TV empire under Paramount, and after opening his own production studio in Texas, he’s becoming more of a threat to the traditional Hollywood procedures by the day.
