Zoe’s Arrival in Walford

Zoe Slater first appeared in September 2000, when the Slater family burst onto the Square and changed EastEnders forever. With Kat, Mo, Little Mo, and Lynne by her side, Zoe was the youngest of the clan. On the surface, she seemed like a normal teenager trying to find her way. But it didn’t take long for her world to be turned upside down.

In one of the soap’s most legendary moments, it was revealed that Zoe wasn’t Kat’s sister at all—she was actually her daughter, born after Kat was sexually abused by her uncle Harry.
