When is Corriedale? Everything you need to know about Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover
An iconic moment in TV history is just around the corner, as ITV is set to air a highly-anticipated Coronation Street and Emmerdale
crossover episode. Earlier this year, soap bosses confirmed an exciting hour-long broadcast when the world’s of both soaps will collide. The episode, which has been billed as “Corriedale”, will air on Monday, January 5 at 8pm.

Although details surrounding the plot have been kept under wraps since the announcement, ITV has since released a trailer for the iconic crossover episode. The 30 second preview was revealed exclusively during The Big Quiz on Monday night.
In the trailer, several characters can be seen in the aftermath of the multiple vehicle smash. Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) takes control of the situation while a frantic Carla Connor (Alison King) can be seen trying to calm someone down. Injured Shona and David Platt (Julia Goulding and Jack P Shepherd) are tended to at the roadside by Emmerdale paramedic Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).

Other characters starring in the episode include Corrie’s own trainee paramedic Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey). She shares the screen with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) as she tries to help more casualties. Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) can be seen trying to help a screaming Shona
in a scene in Hotton General Hospital. Meanwhile, Kevin and Abi Webster (Michael Le Vell and Sally Carman-Duttine) search for Debbie at the crash site, while a desperate Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) screams out for Aaron in the darkness alongside Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
The episode kickstarts a new way of viewing soaps in 2026. “Corriedale” is a celebration of the soap genre and will launch ITV’s new “soap power hour” scheduling pattern for Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Half-hour episodes of each programme will be shown, with Emmerdale at 8pm and Coronation Street at 8.30pm from 2026.
The soap stars were in attendance for the “Corriedale” premiere in Bradford on Tuesday. The ECHO was also in attendance at the star-studded event held at the National Science and Media Museum. Speaking of the epic crossover, Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie Plummer, said: “I think it’s a piece of history. You look back on the old days of the tram crash, you look back on when the aeroplane came down on Emmerdale, they were historic pieces in the soap and this is the same, it’s never happened before.”
