WEEVIL… ROCK YOU Sir Brian May’s home infested with ‘evil weevils’ leaving wife Anita Dobson ‘nearly passing out’

QUEEN legend Sir Brian May’s home has been infested with weevils — just weeks after moths munched all his designer clothes.

Former EastEnders star wife Anita Dobson spotted the long-snouted tiny beetles and was so horrified she almost keeled over.

It happened in their home on their 200-acre estate where the couple moved in 2021 after their London house was flooded with sewage.

Anita, 76, said: “We feed the birds, and the weevils came inside one of the bags of bird feed. I looked down and I went

“I looked down and I went, ‘argh!’ I nearly passed out.

“Bri said: ‘Oh darling, they’re all right. They won’t hurt you, they’re weevils!’ I said: ‘I don’t care – get rid of them!’”

“Bri’s an animal lover but there are limits, aren’t there?”

It comes after their £25million home in Windlesham, Surrey, was blighted by moths. Anita said: “We had the house fumigated. I think we’ve got most of them.

“I don’t know whether we’ll have to have it done again, but it’s not as bad as it was. But what can you do?

“We get them all. You know you’re in the country!”

Meanwhile, Sir Brian, 78, has adopted a tough exercise regime to stay healthy after suffering a stroke last year.

Anita — who was awarded an OBE for charity work last month — said: “He bikes every day, swims once a week, sometimes twice a week and he takes his pills and he exercises a lot.”

Speaking of meeting King Charles at her investiture, she said: “It was magical.

“Just before I actually walked in, I got overcome, you know? I just suddenly thought, I come from Stepney Green and I’m just about to go to Windsor Castle.

I thought ‘don’t cry in front of the King’.”
