Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and Abi Webster (Sally Carman) have had a complicated relationship over the years in Coronation Street, but it seems they have managed to put their differences aside and unite against a common enemy: Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard).

Their off-and-on-again friendship was very much off earlier this year, when Tracy learnt that Abi had been cheating on husband Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) with his brother, Carl.

 

 

She began to blackmail the siblings-in-law, pushing them for more and more money until Carl snapped and hired Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) to trash the flower shop.

However, this only spurred Tracy on further. Things finally came to an end as she was about to meet with Kevin to tell him everything, only to find Carl cosying up to Ken Barlow (William Roache), offering thinly veiled threats to get Tracy on side.

The threats against Ken worked exactly as Carl had planned, and Tracy dropped her blackmailing plot.

This hasn’t stopped her from continuing to wind Abi up though, even receiving a punch in the face for her comments. However, in the immediate aftermath, Tracy realised how much Abi was hurting, and actually stepped up to offer a shoulder to cry on.

Tracy is completely gobsmacked to learn that, not only did Carl cheat on her, but he did so with James Bailey (Jason Callender).

The iconic character already had a low opinion of Carl, given that he strung her along while also seeing Abi earlier this year, but now he has gone down even further in her estimations.

Unfortunately for Carl, Tracy is possibly the worst influence when it comes to things like this.

We’re talking about the same woman who sabotaged Michelle Connor’s car and framed Abi, believing that she’d slept with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) ahead of their wedding.

The same Tracy Barlow who lied to Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) about being pregnant with his baby just to get back at Steve and Michelle.
