The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) may say goodbye to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) over his

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) obsession. Lily may announce her Genoa City departure and leave Cane crushed over losing all the progress he made with her.

 

 

Although Phyllis is arguably more fixated than Cane is, there’s no denying that he’s drawn to her, too.

Cane just can’t quit Phyllis, so that’s a problem that’ll need to be rectified before Cane can truly get on the path to a reunion with Lily.

We have no doubt that Cane still loves Lily and wants to put their family back together.

However, Cane can’t seem to push Phyllis out of the picture long enough to give himself a real shot with Lily.

Lily had a fun night with Cane when he attended the Abbott Communications relaunch as her plus one.

It was nice to see Cane and Lily fall into a flirty banter without all the tension that’d been there before.

Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) also gave Lily some advice about embracing happiness, so that’s what Lily seemed ready to do when she paid a visit to Cane’s office in Y&R’s December 23 episode.

Unfortunately, Phyllis was already there trying to make her latest pitch and work her magic on Cane.

Lily was visibly unsettled at the sight of Phyllis and Cane’s latest lip lock, especially since she thought she was getting somewhere with her ex.

It seems like it’s always one step forward and two steps back when it comes to Cane’s efforts to reunite with Lily.

Now that Lily’s seen for herself that Phyllis still has some sort of twisted hold on Cane, she may not be eager to stick around and watch more of it.

We have to be getting close to the start of Christel Khalil’s maternity leave, so witnessing Cane and Phyllis’ latest make-out session could be a turning point for Lily.

Although Lily hasn’t been able to nail down holiday plans with the twins, this could motivate her to make some quality time happen and get out of town for a while.

Lily may stun Cane with an abrupt goodbye soon and make it clear that Phyllis is a big reason why!
