The Young And The Restless: Cane Has Competition, Lily Brings New Boyfriend Home

Wait, is it New Year’s Eve all over again? You could easily convince us that it is as we look ahead to all the fireworks that Bold & Beautiful,

General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, Young & Restless and Beyond the Gates have in store for the week of January 12-16. Keep reading to find out who’ll be doing what to whom!

It’s Matt, Matt, Matt this week in Genoa City. Though Victor seizes another opportunity to screw over Jack — despite the fact that he apprehended the bad guy on the Newmans’ behalf — Nick then turns to the Jabot exec for help. Talk about lousy timing, huh? But Victor isn’t necessarily holding all the cards. In fact, Cane and Phyllis are set to tell the tycoon that his empire now belongs to them — “and there’s nothing you can do about it.” We’ll see about that.

In other twists of plot, Sally forces the truth out of Billy (since he’d never offer it willingly), Diane draws a line in the sand with Jack, and as Victor and Nikki bicker over family business, the unlikely tag team of Victoria and Adam are left to try to do damage control at Newman.

Gwen’s in the hot seat this week as Cat and Leo both press her for answers. We’re guessing Cat doesn’t get what she’s looking for, though, as she tries staging a break in (as if she isn’t caught every time she tries to be sneaky) But does Gwen get wind of Kristen’s plans to crush EJ when she questions her? It sure doesn’t seem that she has things nearly as under control as she promised EJ! Dimitri, meanwhile, spins a story for Rafe, and we’re betting Gwen won’t be looking good in it. And is Dimitri’s shocking kiss for Leo the reason Javi receives troubling news, or is something else going on? (We knew nothing good would come of pushing Leo away!)

Elsewhere, Brady and Tate talk about Basic Black, but since Xander fired his nephew, we’re not sure what there is to say. Still, it’s a sure bet that’s why both Maggie and Sarah confront the Titan CEO! Plus Jeremy has some advice for Rachel (who’s plotting away with Sophia), but if it’s about anger management, she may want to ask someone else! Plus, Steve and Alex hate Stephanie’s idea, Johnny tips Rafe off and Holly asks Ari to join a sorority with her. Hopefully one without candles.

Sorry, but how much more is Anita supposed to take? Not only is she battling cancer, but she comes home from chemo to discover that her beloved husband has been lying to her. Come on, Vernon! You know better! On top of that, the Dupree matriarch’s whole family is thrown for such a loop by Dani’s test results that Nicole winds up comforting her sister, and Vanessa and Pamela step up to raise the her spirits, too.

In sexier developments, Ted and Shanice turn up the heat, as does Ashley with a certain hunk you might remember from The Young and the Restless. (Read all about the guy for whom she offers to tie a cherry stem with her tongue here.) Plus, after Leslie risks her neck by pushing Joey’s buttons, she takes matters into her own hands — as well as Marcel’s gun!

Alexis is floored, and who wouldn’t be after Kai and Trina fill her in on who shot Drew? But what is she going to do with that information and will it affect Willow’s fate? All we know is that by the end of the week, Alexis will have some explaining to do! And what kind of warning does a frustrated Nina have for Drew? Michael and Jacinda, meanwhile, grow closer, which just goes to show that the best relationships start with a lie! (OK, that’s not what anyone should take away from their alibi conspiracy.)

Valentin has a close call after taking a risk. Carly, meanwhile, overhears some useful intel, then catches up with Josslyn. After Britt’s threatened, Jason takes her out. Clearly, she didn’t listen to Brad’s warning! Emma and Gio, meanwhile, take a step forward in their relationship, Sonny wants answers and Laura has to place the peacemaker. But who does Ava have a shocking encounter with? And finally, we’re guessing it is not a good thing when Anna’s left stunned. Is this the beginning of the end of someone important to her?

Dylan’s moving on up. A run-in with Steffy at Forrester Creations leaves the unhoused co-ed excited about the prospect of working at the fashion house with Will and Electra. And Will and Electra? Eh, let’s just say they’re not quite so excited about the prospect. (Look at those faces below!) Mind you, Dylan may not pose any real threat to their romance, as R.J. Forrester is back with a recast in the role and a very empty slot on his dance card.

Meanwhile, things heat up between Carter and Daphne, and Eric makes a move that’s truly bold: He has himself a sit-down with Katie and suggests that, since Forrester Creations no longer has any use for its founder, perhaps he could put his talents to work for rival fashion house Logan. Our thoughts on the matter: Bring. It. On.
