And, at the very end of Friday’s episode, we got our answer. The jury came back with the verdict we were expecting: Willow was found not guilty!

Alexis managed to get her client acquitted, which means Willow is completely free and clear. Double jeopardy prevents people from being tried twice for the same crime, so Drew’s better half has quite literally gotten away with (attempted) murder. And this mostly came about because Alexis did such a good job of casting suspicion on Michael.

That likely means that now that Willow’s off scot-free, Michael’s in the crosshairs, and ADA Turner will probably be coming after him. For a few reasons. Eventually, though, the truth has to come out, and it’s sure to tee up a whole lot of problems for Willow and Drew. “Sorry, honey, but yes, I tried to murder you.

We suppose Drew could someday sue his missus in civil court for pain and suffering, but really, what’s the point? Unless, of course, it’s to get it on the record that she is guilty, so that in any future custody battles, she’d lose her kids. For good. In fact, if Drew was feeling especially vindictive, he could team up with Michael to make it happen.

For now, though, we’ll just have to see what comes next — especially with Kai and Trina still waiting for Alexis to give them advice on what their next move with the truth should be. Either way, the trial may be over, but this drama still has a long way to go!
