The latest #YR preview looks like Genoa City’s version of Thunderdome. Matt and Nick enter, but who’ll; emerge victorious? Plus, let the New Year’s Eve games begin!
Having waited literally decades to get revenge upon the Newman family for their perceived wrongs against him, Young & Restless” Matt is
through waiting. Now, the web that the baddie’s been weaving since first Noah wandered into his sites is accomplishing its goal. Although
given that Nick has repeatedly talked about the traps he’s set for Matt all over town, who knows which of the men will emerge from their latest confrontation victorious?

Certainly the set-up, as you can see in the video below, is delicious. Nick taunts Matt who seems downright casual despite the high-stakes game they’re playing. Does Sharon’s former attacker have something up his sleeve or is he majorly underestimating Nick?
Elsewhere in Genoa City, residents are preparing for the final night of 2026. Traditionally speaking, who you’re with (not to mention who you are kissing) at the stroke of midnight indicates what’s ahead in the new year. Clearly, Holden would very much like to be sharing a smooch with Claire… but the ability to do so might depend on whether or not he agrees to her terms!
Holden had best hope the beauty’s condition has absolutely nothing to do with Claire’s grandpa. Why? The Mustache has made it clear that he doesn’t approve of this potential pairing, going so far to warn her that Holden is a “man of ill repute.”
Meanwhile, Cane appears to be playing the guilt card on Lily, essentially saying that his plans involve spending New Year’s Eve with her or staying home and sulking. (We added the sulking part, but look at his face! That is a man who is living in pre-sulk mode.)
