In the episode aired on September 9, Ridge finally managed to reach Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and persuaded her to let him go.

Even though Ridge never intended to hurt Taylor, it’s undeniable that he did-in the end, however, Taylor gave in and allowed Ridge to return to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).

 

 

Without wasting a moment, Ridge hurried to Forrester Creations, where he expressed his desire not to lose Brooke and presented her with a rose.

He then proposed to Brooke, who accepted and promised to always be his Logan-he even had a rock of an engagement ring. Despite the romantic music swelling in the background during that scene, it was hard to view it as truly romantic given the circumstances.

 

 

Ridge transitioned from being engaged to Taylor to being engaged to Brooke on the very same day, actually in a matter of minutes, making it seem tacky and unpleasant! Naturally, none of us should be astonished given how much inconsistency Ridge has shown throughout the years.
