The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that B&B fans are trashing Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) for trading fiancées the same day. Did Ridge just deliver the least romantic marriage proposal ever?

In the September 9 episode, Ridge finally got through to Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and convinced her to let him go. Although Ridge didn’t mean to hurt Taylor, there’s no denying that he indeed did.

Nevertheless, Taylor relented in the end and gave Ridge the green light to run back to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).

Ridge wasted no time in rushing over to Forrester Creations, where he declared he didn’t want to lose Brooke and handed her a rose.

Ridge then asked Brooke to marry him, so she accepted and vowed to always be his Logan.

Despite the swelling romantic music that B&B used for that scene, it was tough to buy it as romantic all things considered.

Ridge went from being engaged to Taylor to being engaged to Brooke the very same day, so the result was tacky and gross!

Of course, none of us should be surprised considering how much waffling Ridge has done over the years.

Taylor should’ve known better than to go back down this road with Ridge because it always ends in heartache.

Now Taylor’s crushed while Ridge is back together with Brooke, but for how long? Will Ridge ultimately live to regret his decision and flip-flop all over again?

Ridge can never seem to commit to one woman indefinitely – though his relationship with Brooke always comes back around sooner or later.

Taylor thankfully has another man in her future according to fall preview info, so let’s hope she’ll break out of this toxic Ridge cycle – at least for a while!

As for Ridge and Brooke’s engagement, fans have been slamming it on social media.

It wasn’t romantic watching Ridge leave Taylor in tears and jump right into Brooke’s joyful arms.

The whole proposal felt like a failure if the show wanted to sell it as some grand gesture.

A rose wasn’t enough to make popping the question in the office like that feel special, so it was a giant letdown.
