Taylor Sheridan continues to prove why he’s the king of Paramount, as not one, not two, but three of his shows are currently dominating on

streaming. Sheridan began his Hollywood career as an actor in Walker, Texas Ranger. But it’s when he penned the script for Denis

Villeneuve’s seminal Sicario that he hit the big time. As well as writing movies like Hell or High Water and Wind River, Taylor Sheridan has

 

 

carved out a space for himself on TV and streaming. Yellowstone, starring Kevin Costner, is one of the most successful shows of the last 10 years. But it’s three of Sheridan’s follow-up shows that are dominating on Paramount+.

Yellowstone might be Sheridan’s biggest series, but it’s Landman, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown that are dominating on Paramount+. Landman is currently the most popular show on Paramount+ and the most popular series on Paramount+ through Amazon Prime Video. Mayor of Kingstown sits in third place on both platforms. Tulsa King is the fourth most popular series on Paramount+, and the seventh on Paramount+ through Amazon Channels.

When Landman was first released, many were skeptical whether the series would live up to Yellowstone. The show was harshly criticized upon its release. However, in the months since the show’s debut, even tentative fans have warmed up to the series. Landman is now one of Sheridan’s most popular series, behind Yellowstone, of course. Meanwhile, Tulsa King remains a fan favorite, with Sylvester Stallone bringing his usual suave machismo to the series. Mayor of Kingstown, starring Jeremy Renner, is Sheridan’s more divisive series. But the show has garnered a devout fan base, with the fourth season currently airing.

Taylor Sheridan is a very, very busy man. The writer, actor, and producer has no less than 11 projects currently in the works. Some of his biggest shows are coming back for more seasons. Tulsa King, Landman, and Lioness all have new seasons in the works. Meanwhile, even more Yellowstone spin-offs are being developed.

The Dutton Ranch is the most highly anticipated spin-off. The series follows Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler as they attempt to keep the eponymous Dutton Ranch alive. Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are returning as Beth and Rip, respectively. The series is slated to release sometime in 2026, although an exact release date hasn’t yet been revealed. The Dutton Ranch is currently in production. The Dutton Ranch isn’t the only Yellowstone spin-off in development. Sheridan is also working on another prequel series, titled 1944. The series is set in, you guessed it, 1944, and that’s literally all we know about the series. Expect the show to follow at least one member of the Dutton clan. The series is currently in pre-production and doesn’t yet have a release date.
