Earlier this year, it was announced that Brendan Sklenar will lead Taylor Sheridan’s return to filmmaking in his new action thriller, F.A.S.T. reported drug crime aspect of the plot. Sheridan made his feature writing debut in 2015 on Sicario, and it’s still hailed to this day as one of his best projects. Fans are expecting him to recapture the magic in F.A.S.T. when it arrives in theaters in 2027.

The Housemaid will also serve as something of a coming-out party for Sweeney’s costar, Brandon Sklenar, whose biggest role comes in the Taylor Sheridan-penned Yellowstone prequel, 1923. Earlier this year, Sklenar did star in another twisty thriller, Drop, alongside Meghann Fahy. The film was well-liked and grossed 28 million at the box office, but The Housemaid has a chance to be a much bigger moment for his career if it can find the right audience.
