[Spoiler]’s Phone Call Sends Nick’s Suspicions Into Overdrive — and Karma Comes for Audra
At the jazz club, Billy sidles up to Jack at the bar and makes his brother chuckle by claiming to be new and improved. As they get into the
conversation they’ve had time and again, Jack admits he came down a little hard on Billy, who takes ownership of his part in their argument, and agree they want peace.

Jack fishes to find out where Billy stands with Cane, and his brother claims he’s dropped the idea of going after Chancellor entirely; Sally made him realize what’s truly important. Talk turns to Jill, and Jack says he summoned her back so she could see what Cane was up to, but he also hoped she and Billy would reconnect. Billy’s not optimistic, but he believes his mother wants to see him back on his feet.

In the hospital, Nick grills Detective Burrows about someone running Noah off the road. Sharon realizes that if the witness hadn’t come forward, Noah could have died. Nick grows agitated when the detective refuses to share the person’s name, and even more so when Burrows whips out a pad and asks why Noah was in Los Angeles. Nick asks what the hell difference it makes? Is he trying to blame this on his son?!

The detective explains that they’re just trying to put together a timeline. Nick huffs and puffs and fumes that he wants answers. Nick gives him his contact info and Burrows walks off. Sharon and Nick wonder who would want to hurt Noah… and why?Nick paces. Did the detective even show them ID? Something about the encounter was off. All Sharon can think about is Noah… will he wake up? Will he even live?! Suddenly, Noah’s phone, in the personal effects bag, rings. The screen reads “Sienna Bacall” (the woman who knew Holden in the nightclub).Nick answers it and says, “This is Nick Newman.” Sienna, in the nightclub, frowns. She’s calling for Noah Newman. Nick explains he was in a very serious car accident. “How do you know my son?” Sienna says she’s a friend. Nick peppers her with questions. She says she hopes that he’s OK and hangs up. Nick paces. All of this feels off. “There’s something wrong here. I can feel it.”Nate jogs into Chancellor Park and encounters Audra. Victoria shows up just as Nate explains he’s meeting someone. Victoria tells him she can’t go for a run because of Noah, so Nate fills Audra in on her ex being in a car accident in Los Angeles. She gawps, “Oh my God! Is he OK?” Victoria asks Nate to help her get more information… privately.
Realizing they want to be rid of her, Audra tells Nate she’ll maybe see him when she visits Amy, and leaves. Sitting, Victoria tells Nate that it doesn’t sound good for Noah, who has serious head trauma and is in an induced coma. Nate explains it gives the brain time to rest and heal. He assures her there’s hope for recovery.
After they go over how similar this is to Cassie and Faith’s accidents, Nate’s sure this is making her think of Cole in the hospital too. Victoria fears her family is cursed; sometimes the pain of the losses is overwhelming. Suddenly, she realizes she’s going on and on about herself when he just lost Damian. Nate makes a nice speech, reassuring her again.
Cheering up, Victoria jokes around with Nate and asks if they can keep their dinner date for tonight. She tells him his support has meant the world to her. Audra returns in time to see them holding hands.
Audra interrupts Victoria and Nate to says she left her shopping bag behind. Grabbing it, she makes it clear she’s not happy as she walks off. Outside of view, she looks hurt.
At the hospital in L.A., Nick hugs Sharon as she says she’s going back in to talk to Noah in case he can hear her. Once alone, Nick picks up Noah’s phone and muses “Password. Password.” He gets it on the first try and searches to find out what his son was doing on that road so late at night.
