SOAP SHOCK Coronation Street character returns from the dead four years after dying in shock twist
Bosses at the ITV soap had managed to keep the big return a secret until today
A CORONATION Street character has returned from the dead – four years after dying in a huge shock storyline.
The ITV soap has brought back a character from two residents’ lives in a major bombshell in today’s episode.
Lisa Swain was given a blast from the past in today’s episode
She was reminiscing about her late wife when the woman in question walked in
Amy Cudden is playing the now very much alive Becky Swain
With Betsy celebrating her 18th birthday with morning shots courtesy of Ryan – and insisting her mum join her, Lisa was well on her way to being sozzled.
They cranked the music for a morning party, sending Roy fleeing for the quiet of the cafe, and bringing David Platt to their door.
With the hairdresser sent packing, Betsy ended up opening up to her mum about a secret relationship she was having – but then shut her down and stormed out.
Lisa was left panicked when Betsy called her to apologize but ended up screaming as a car raced towards her.
With Carla by her side, Lisa raced out of the house to find Betsy and fortunately found she was OK – but one of her neighbours was not.
The car swerved at the last minute and instead of hitting Betsy, it ran straight over Tyrone Dobbs who was left in a very bad way.
Later at home, Betsy and Lisa had a heart to heart and Lisa handed over one of Becky’s necklaces for her 18th.
“It was your mums,” she said. “I’ve waited four years to give you this.”
