The episode opens with breaking news: Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) has been found dead in an overseas hotel room under suspicious circumstances. Initially dismissed as an apparent accident, the situation takes a darker turn when evidence suggests foul play.

 

 

Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), Colin’s estranged son, receives the devastating call from authorities and is visibly shaken. Despite their complicated relationship, Cane can’t help but feel both grief and guilt over their unresolved issues.

“He was my father,” Cane confides in Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). “No matter what he did, I never wanted it to end like this.”

 

 

But Cane’s grief soon turns to dread when the police reveal that Colin’s final transactions and personal records implicate Cane in a possible conspiracy involving money laundering and fraud — a scheme that might have led to Colin’s demise.
