The Young and the Restless’ Melody Thomas Scott must have been extra good this year. On December 14, the soap legend took to Instagram to share the most touching of stories about the gift she received — guaranteed to give you the warm fuzzies.

“The lost little kitten we named Cashmere, who showed up on our doorstep earlier this year, has grown into her own — but not her paws,” the actress began. “Santa must have known all I wanted for Christmas was… Cashmere.”

 

 

With that, Nikki’s portrayer dropped a series of lovely photos of herself with her feline family member. (You can view them here.) One follower hit the nail on the head, saying that the shots would make for the ideal Christmas card picture.

Previously, Scott had teased that she was “so excited for you to see today’s photo shoot with the amazing Jeremy Fraser. Let’s just say it was purr-fect.” She wasn’t kidding, either.

If only the daytime icon’s on screen life were so cuddly. Nikki knew going into her latest marriage to Victor that there would never be a dull moment. But sheesh. He’s launching his umpteenth attack on archenemy Jack and Jabot, sticking Nikki in the middle of the mess.

At some point, Mrs. Newman is going to have to say, “Enough is enough,” right? Even if she doesn’t, Jack is. In fact, in Friday’s episode Nikki’s former husband uses their close tie to mess with her relationship with her current husband. Wonder how Diane will feel about that!
