But it’s a brief tantrum. Thomas just wants Chad to come home and so does Jennifer. In fact, she wants Chad to come home so much, she’s taking Thomas and Charlotte to Boston while they wait. But they’ll fly back the second dad’s back to “sort everything out”! Everything being still trying to take Chad’s kids, Jen?

Will the DiMeras Save Kristen?
Down in the crypt, Kristen’s napping in the back with EJ, but Chad assures Theo there won’t be any trouble. She’s too exhausted. After pondering Rachel’s problems, Theo reassures Chad about his own kids. He remembers losing his mom as a kid and the anger he had towards his dad, and he got past it.

After some more mutual support, they get back to digging. But honestly, it looks like they’re still digging in the same inch of dirt… No wonder they need a break. That seems exhausting. Theo checks on Kristen and starts to freak out that she needs medical treatment. Then they must dig some more, Chad says. Dig for their lives! Or at least Kristen’s.

Is Stephanie In Danger?
Steve shows up at Stephanie’s door, bag packed and ready to move in. She doesn’t think he’s needed, but Steve won’t budge, turning the apartment into a fort just in time for Alex to get home. Papa’s doubtful he can keep Stephanie safe, but Alex wins points by thanking him for being there.

The second they’re alone, Stephanie makes it clear that until Steve is gone, there’s no sex. Priorities! Once Steve gets back, he lets an annoyed Stephanie know that wherever she goes, he’s tagging along.

In the Show’s Final Moments
Julie joins Thomas and Jennifer to tell the kid that he needs to have faith. Just like George Michael said. He’ll give it a shot. He goes to get his things together and Jennifer promises Julie she’ll keep the kids safe.

Steve goes through the letters and finds a new one. The writer knows Alex’s full name and won’t give up until Stephanie’s his. They’re horrified, and the only thing they know for sure is that the writer’s left-handed. Then Stephanie remembers that Jeremy’s ambidextrous. “You’re saying he can write with both his right and his left hand?” Yes, Steve, that’s what ambidextrous means. Cut to Jeremy sitting in the square with paper and pen in front of him!
