Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossed over briefly last night ahead of their major crossover episode next year.
Airing in January, Corriedale will include characters from both Weatherfield and the Dales, such as Aaron Dingle and Lisa Swain, who collide in one major storyline that will have repercussions for both ITV soaps.
As fans get ready for this major event, last night’s installment of Emmerdale included a tiny detail that ties the two shows together. Did you spot it?
Sam Dingle was hit with more money woes after Noah Dingle revealed that the wiring in Wishing Well cottage needed repairing, and could cost the cash-strapped family more than £2,000.
Sam and Belle Dingle panicked over how they would raise the money, and Sam came up with a scheme – but it would involve going behind Kim Tate’s back and selling Christmas trees from Home Farm for £50 each.

Speaking about crises, Belle responded: “I’ve got a bridezilla in Manchester demanding that a choir sing at her wedding, that’s a crisis.”
It could be that she is referring to Corrie‘s Debbie Webster, who is in the midst of planning her wedding to Ronnie Bailey.
In tonight’s episode, Belle also seems to reference the nightmare client yet again during a heated conversation with Joe Tate.
After their Christmas tree scheme blows up in their face and Sam is fired from his job, Belle confronts Joe at the pub and offers a solution to both of their problems.

“Me and Dawn, we’ve got this client down in Manchester, she’s got a hotel, and I think she could use the trees. So if she agrees to take them, you’re not going to be out of pocket, are you?”
It’s not the first little teaser we’ve received after a picture of Emmerdale‘s John Sugden was visible in Coronation Street‘s police station earlier this year.
Fans spotted the poster, featuring Sugden with an appeal for information, when Asha Alahan headed to Weatherfield police station to report a hate crime.
