He accuses her of running away and sees this as confusion. He asks if he can come with her to see Mattie. Lily says no. “You have to stop!”

Lily complains that he won’t take no for an answer. He counters that she’s sending mixed signals. Lily tells him they’re played out. She’s leaving town and if he follows her, she’ll go somewhere else. “I am the last person that you belong with.”

Entering, Michael learns Victor’s at the hospital with Nick and the others. Adam recaps the drama with Matt Clark, who has gone missing. He offers to relay a message to Victor, but Michael prefers to wait.

Adam guesses his visit has to do with the AI program he doesn’t want his father to have… or use. Michael’s never made any secret of opposing it. Adam questions Michael’s allegiance, and tells him, “We have to choose sides. I’ve chosen mine. Now, I need to know which side you are on.”Michael tells Adam he’s acting like a mob boss and not a good one. He’ll always keep Victor’s best interests at heart. Nikki comes in and Adam leaves for the hospital. Sensing the tension, Nikki tells Michael she knows Adam can be a horse’s ass. Turning confrontational, she asks if he’s there to help Victor go after the Abbotts.

Michael assures Nikki they’re of like minds about Victor going after Jabot. It won’t be easy to stop him, however. Nikki says she threatened to walk out on him over it, but it didn’t stick. Michael muses that they both want to save Victor from himself. They need to put their heads together and fix this thing.
