New Bachelor-Style Hallmark Movie With General Hospital Star Announced
A General Hospital favorite is making his way to Hallmark for a new Christmas project. Adam Huss is set to headline an upcoming holiday
film that combines Christmas romance with a playful reality-dating show twist. It centers on a Bachelor-style dating show, marking a playful shift from traditional Hallmark concept.
Adam Huss is set to headline a new Hallmark holiday feature, marking his next major role following his work on General Hospital. The Christmas-themed romantic comedy, titled Mistletoe Mansion, is currently in production and is expected to premiere during Hallmark’s 2026 holiday slate (via Soaps).
The film is set around a Christmas-themed reality dating show and explores the challenges behind the scenes. Huss plays Jimmy, the show’s director, who is focused on delivering a picture-perfect romantic ending for television. As filming unfolds, relationships become more complicated and do not follow the planned storyline, creating tension both on and off camera.
Speaking about the project, Huss said the script stood out to him immediately. He described the script as emotionally grounded while still offering playful twists. “As soon as I started reading the script, I was like, ‘Oh, this is funny and heartfelt.’ So, there are some great, fun twists,” the actor said. He also noted that the story reflects current audience interest.
Huss also acknowledged enjoying reality series such as Survivor, The Amazing Race, and The Traitors. He said, “I get sucked into these shows, and I am so busy with other work and trying to get things off the ground as a producer and a writer… but I can’t commit to that many seasons.”
The film also features appearances from well-known reality TV personalities, including The Challenge alum Cara Maria Sorbello and Big Brother veteran Rachel Reilly. It is expected to premiere as part of Hallmark’s 2026 Christmas lineup.
In the newly released trailer for Euphoria season 3, Sydney Sweeney reprises her role as Cassie, giving fans a brief but revealing preview of her character’s updated wardrobe.
One standout moment shows Cassie—now portrayed as an OnlyFans model—posing poolside in a retro-inspired red-and-white gingham bikini. The look features a ruffled halter neckline with a bow detail and high-waisted bottoms, leaning heavily into vintage pin-up style. Her beauty look followed suit, with blonde hair swept into a tousled updo and soft bangs brushed to the side for a nostalgic finish.
Beyond the fashion glimpse, the Euphoria season 3 trailer confirms a major five-year time jump that moves the story past high school and into early adulthood. Rue (Zendaya) is still grappling with addiction and mounting debt, while Cassie’s storyline takes a dramatic turn as she becomes an adult content creator and marries Nate (Jacob Elordi).
The rest of the plot is shown navigating a darker, more chaotic phase of life, with the season leaning into themes of excess, faith, redemption, and the messy realities of growing up.
However, fans on X (formerly Twitter) weren’t impressed with Cassie’s storyline and took to the platform to voice their outrage over Sweeney’s role.
“Degenerate filth,” said one user about the plot. A second wrote, “The whole generation is cooked, istg.” A third noted, “They have started promoting OF in movies now. Brilliant.” A fourth commented, “They really thought outside of the box for that character development.” Someone else quipped, “Not appropriate for a show directed at children and teens and adults.” Another person asked, “Why did she accept that role??” One person added, “Just yet another film/show we’re gonna take advantage of her in.”
Despite the recent backlash, Cassie has played a major role in propelling the 28-year-old’s career and remains one of her most recognizable characters. The first season of Euphoria, which premiered in 2019, introduced audiences to her portrayal of Cassie, and by season 2, she earned widespread critical acclaim that cemented her status as a standout talent.
In a May 2025 interview, the Anyone But You actress reflected on her connection to the character, saying, “I have such a soft spot in my heart for Cassie, and I hold her really close and dear. She is crazy. She makes so many mistakes. She’s flawed on so many levels, but she does it all from a place of love. It could be a sad version of love as well,” Sydney told Empire.
“It’s so much fun to play a character that is as crazy as she is,” she continued. “Sam [Levinson] is such a brilliant filmmaker to work with, because I’ll read something, then I’ll call him, and I’m like, ‘Let’s go crazier.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m all in.’”
