Coronation Street stars stepped out on Friday night for their Christmas party – but things took a turn when an taxi driver knocked over two people.

Weatherfield’s golden girls Lucy Fallon and Catherine Tyldesley stole the show as they cut glam figures for the night out.

Tanisha Gorey, who plays paramedic Asha Alahan on the show, oozed glam in a black long-sleeve and off-the-shoulder frock.

Soap legends Bill Roach, Jack P. Shepherd and Sally Dynevor were also spotted attending the bash at the Refuge Restaurant and Bar in Manchester.

While the actors boasting big smiles and appearing to be in great spirits, the night took a turn when two people were knocked down by an Uber taxi near the venue.

Pictures show the cab driver leaving his vehicle to check on the injured parties as passersby also scramble to help.

An ambulance was then seen arriving at the scene.

A source from the party told Daily Mail they were unaware of the accident taking place.

Daily Mail has contacted a spokesperson for the ITV soap.

Before the main party, some of the most prominent men on the show enjoyed a dinner together at the Tyga Bar and Restaurant.

Jimmi Harkishan, Simon Gregson, Sam Aston, Alan Halsall, Andy Wymant and Jack P Shepherd were all snapped smiling as they headed for the bash.

Earlier this week the explosive first ever trailer of Coronation Street and Emmerdale’s crossover episode Corriedale was released – and it looks like it’s not one to miss.

The sneak peek of the epic episode, which is set to our screens in early January 2026, sent soap fans wild.

In the first look, viewers will see the aftermath of a terrifying crash located outside of the fictional village of Hotten, which is one of the made-up locations of Emmerdale.

It appears that the residents of Weatherfield have travelled all the way over to Yorkshire as a mix of Corrie and Emmerdale characters star in the clip.

Emmerdale fans will be happy to know that Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) will appear in the special ep.

Coronation Street legends David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) will be swapping the Cobbles for the Yorkshire Dales this time around.

But the real question is, who will survive and how exactly have the worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale managed to both get involved in a car collision?

ITV’s official press release states: ‘CORRIEDALE is just the start of the drama as the aftermath of the crash gives rise to fear, murderous intent, death, destruction, closely-guarded secrets, and lies.

‘Life in Emmerdale and Weatherfield will never be the same again!’

Back in May it was revealed that the shows are set to make soap history with a landmark crossover episode.

The channel said at the time: ‘The distinctive worlds of Emmerdale and Coronation Street will merge for one night only in a ‘mash-up’ of our two favourite communities.

‘The producers, scriptwriters and production teams have conceived an ingenious way of linking the two universes, but with characters then returning to the soaps they are renowned for inhabiting in Manchester and Yorkshire.

‘The episode will be self-contained, but the consequences of the high-stakes drama will have repercussions for both communities and see them linked forever as familiar faces depart and exciting new characters arrive into both soaps.’

Filming for special started back in October.
