with dramatic re-enactments. Costner recently found himself having to deal with a bit of bad press, when it was reported that he nearly came to blows with Wes Bentley on the set of Yellowstone. This came on the heels of a widely publicized blow-up between him and the show’s creator, Sheridan.

Costner had a public falling out with Sheridan during the production of Yellowstone, which ended abruptly because of it. The show has inspired two spin-offs, with two more around the corner. Addressing his departure, he said in an interview with Radio Times, “I’m willing to do anything where I feel like what I’m doing is for myself. It doesn’t have to be a Western, it could be something else. But when something is no longer interesting to me, or there’s some other reason that I need to move on, I’m willing to do that.” The Oscar-winner’s ambitious Horizon saga has only seen one installment so far, with as many as four more in different stages of development. Following the box office underperformance of the first film, the already-completed second film’s release was delayed.
