The drama begins when Carla Connor stumbles across something she was never meant to see. While scrolling through photos taken by Betsy of her and Lisa in their Halloween costumes, Carla accidentally discovers a video that changes everything — footage of Lisa Swain and Becky modeling Betsy’s fashion designs together.

Carla’s face drops as she watches the clip. The memories, the laughter, and the clear chemistry between Lisa and her ex-wife Becky become too much to bear. Without a word, Carla storms out of the party, leaving Lisa heartbroken and confused. When Betsy realizes what has happened, she confides in Becky, explaining that Carla saw the video, took offense, and left in tears.

Sensing an opportunity, Becky forms a dangerous plan. Determined to win Lisa back, she makes a dramatic entrance at the Halloween party. She joins Betsy at the bar, where the tension is thick. Then, in a move no one expects, Becky cues up their wedding song — the track from her and Lisa’s first dance.

Later that evening, Eva finds a man dressed as a vampire lurking in the back room and joyfully throws her arms around him — assuming it’s her new partner Ben. To her horror, the man removes his mask, and it’s Adam, her ex-boyfriend. Mortified, Eva pulls away, but it’s too late — Ben catches the scene.

Ben is furious, and as Eva tries to explain the mistake, his mother Maggie overhears the entire conversation. Smirking, Maggie mutters, “How many more skeletons has Eva got hidden in her closet?” Trouble is clearly brewing for the Price-Driscoll household.

Elsewhere on the cobbles, Cassie Plummer struggles to keep her spirits up. Unemployed and desperate for direction, she vents to Steve McDonald about her bad luck. Moved by her honesty, Steve offers her some shifts working on the switchboard at Street Cars. Cassie is overjoyed — but her happiness is short-lived. Tracy Barlow, still furious about Cassie living under the same roof, vows to make her life a misery and threatens to get her fired before she even starts.

Later that evening, Cassie’s joy turns to exhaustion as she feels faint during her first shift. Steve rushes to her side — but by the time help arrives, it’s too late. Cassie collapses at the switchboard, and Weatherfield is left in mourning as one of its most complex and beloved characters tragically passes away.

Her death sends shockwaves through the community, especially for Tyrone and Fizz, who must now come to terms with losing Cassie just as she seemed to be finding redemption.
