At Forrester, Steffy tells Hope that she and Ridge agree using Thomas and Zende is the best thing for her line moving forward. Deke has a future in fashion, but not there.

Hope reminds Steffy it’s her line. Steffy points out she’s the co-CEO. Hope replies, “So… you’re telling me I have no say.”They start debating

and Hope asks the brunette to give Deke a chance. It puts her in an uncomfortable position to work with Thomas again, and it will make

 

 

Liam unhappy as well. Steffy can’t make business decisions based on that… doesn’t she want what’s best for her line? She suggests Hope break the news to her brother.In the design office, Deke asks Carter if he has any idea what the future holds for him at the company. Carter’s not sure what the plan is, so Deke just tell him working there has been a dream come true for him.

 

 

Carter warns there’s a lot riding on Hope For the Future… they’ll need to select the best design team possible.

Brooke’s Concern
Down in the showroom, Ridge updates Brooke on Thomas and Zende being in and Deke being out. It’s the best thing for the line. Brooke knows Deke is still learning the ropes, but worries about Steffy being the one to give Hope the news. Ridge shrugs that they’re in a good place right now. Brooke counters that Hope’s brother is being pushed out so Steffy’s brother can come back in.

Time to Shine

 

 

At Spencer, Will and his parents enthuse about Katie’s new fashion company. She admits it’s not going to be easy telling Brooke. Bill tells her not to worry about them; she’s putting herself first for a change and it will be remarkable. Katie decides that the Logans uplift each other, so Brooke will be happy for her. Wanna bet?!

After Katie leaves, Will and Bill discuss how excited they are for her. Bill declares it’s Katie’s time to shine. Finally, no more answering to Ridge and Brooke! Bill starts urging Will to join his mom, but he’ll stay put for now.

 

 

Brooke’s Shock
At Forrester, Katie finds Brooke by the runway and tells her Bill’s made an incredible romantic gesture: A fashion house. Brooke gawps.

Brooke thinks this sounds a little bit crazy. It took years for Forrester to get off the ground. Katie’s up for the challenge. Bill believes she can do it. Brooke condescends, “That’s really sweet.” Katie tells her sister, “I’m doing this… and I wanted you to be the first to know.”

Katie goes on about being ready and Brooke looks unconvinced. She asks what she’ll call it… Spencer Fashions? Katie thinks Brooke could help her name it. She hopes her departure won’t affect Will. “I have to do this.” It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. Brooke claims she’s happy for her… but she’s also sad. She thinks this will be very hard for her. Katie says, “I want this.” Brooke’s still worried… but she knows she won’t change her mind. Brooke insists she’s happy for her, but her expression is strained as they embrace.
