In Monday’s #YR recap, Sharon learns shocking news, Noah and Sienna make plans, and Ian reappears.

At the Chancellor estate, as Abby rests, Nate looks at Dominic’s mitten. He and Devon turn into insta-therapists. Devon speculates that

Ian’s return must have had an impact on Mariah, who even checked herself into a clinic. Nate suggests that the kidnapping may have been

her attempt to get an emotional reset after all the trauma. Devon just hopes Mariah loves Dominic as much as he thinks she does so he’ll be safe.

Young & Restless Botched Devon & Abby Battle, Tessa, Mariah Engagement

At Crimson Lights Nick explains to Sharon that his father has a plan to take the company back, but only Adam knows the details. His mom is taking the loss of Chancellor hard. He marvels at how Phyllis has betrayed her own family (you know, the one whose patriarch had her raped).

Nick wants to see Cane suffer the most and wishes he could “beat the greed” out of him. Sharon is surprised when she gets a call from Devon asking to see her as soon as possible.

On his way out of the Chancellor estate, Devon wonders to Nate about how he can break the news to Sharon that Mariah abducted his son. Once the house is empty, Abby mopes in and calls Victor to meet later. Spotting a bulldog cop plushy on the floor, she picks it up, smells it, and weeps.Abby recalls when Chance gave the toy to Dom. The little boy always bragged to everyone that his papa was a cop. Sobbing, she wishes that Chance were there to help and prays that he is keeping an eye on their son.

At the cafe in Chancellor Park, Sienna and Noah kiss and chat about how much his family wants him to stay in Genoa City. She thinks it would be a mistake for him to leave, but he’s determined to be by her side. Sienna admits that he showed her how dark her life had become and made her feel lighter.

Noah assures Sienna that he can always video chat with his family wherever he goes and reminds her that they now have the chance to make The Shadow Room their own and erase all the memories of Matt. He says they can have a jetset lifestyle between LA and London, or just a low-fi life in LA. It doesn’t matter as long as she’s by his side.

At Sharon’s place, Noah calls Victor to have the jet readied. His mom and dad arrive, and he announces that he and Sienna are headed to LA. Before his parents can try acting enthusiastic about it, Devon arrives, wanting to speak to Sharon. Noah and Sienna walk off to pack, and Winters informs Sharon that her daugher has kidnapped his son.

Sharon can’t believe this, so Devon shows her the surveillance footage from the motel. She admits her daughter was troubled and seeking help. Devon tells her the police have no leads. Tessa has no clues either. She offers to call Mariah’s doctors and will tell him anything she learns. Nick promises they will help him get his son back.

Once Devon goes, Sharon asks Nick how this could have happened. She starts to blame herself for not keeping closer tabs on Mariah. Nick assures her none of this is down to her. Although they are confident that Mariah wouldn’t actually hurt the child, they can’t imagine where she would take him.Devon returns to the Chancellor estate, where Abby is curled up on the couch with the plush toy. Her husband sits beside her and holds her, reminding her that Mariah loves their child. They need to hold onto that and remember she’s a good person. Abby is trying to do that, but she can’t stop worrying that Mariah was raised by Ian Ward.As Dom sleeps in the backseat, Ian appears beside Mariah. She curses him for vanishing just when she needed him. He explains that he only disappeared to test her. Glancing back at Dom, Ward talks about what a blessing he is. She will have the chance to mold him just as he once molded her.

Mariah reminds Ian how difficult this has been for her. He explains that this is the only way for her to finally heal. When she chokes up imagining the pain that Abby must be in, he reminds her that pain is necessary for growth. As he pushes her to absolve herself of guilt and claim what belongs to her, Dominic awakes with a start, muttering, “Papa?”

Dom tells Mariah that he was dreaming of his father in heaven. He says that his mother used to sing to him. Mariah says she is his mother too. She sang to him when he was in her tummy, and he’s known her longer than anyone else.

Mariah explains that she used to call him “Bowie” since he was such a star. When he asks her to sing to him again, she flashes back to when she would sing Tessa’s song to him. Humming, Mariah says he still feels like her son.
