I’M A HOME Shona McGarty shares emotional airport reunion with family after returning from I’m a Celeb jungle
SHONA McGarty was overcome with emotion when she greeted her family after returning from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The former EastEnders star touched down at Heathrow Airport where she was greeted by her nephews and parents upon her return from the Australian jungle.
Shona came third in this year’s competition behind YouTuber Angry Ginge and Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read Wilson.
Wearing a chic travel outfit of wide legged trousers and a crochet crop top, Shona fell to her knees as she came into the arrivals area of the airport and called over her nephews to give her a hug.
She embraced the lads for a long time before moving on to her parents and giving them equally enthusiastic cuddles.
“Home is not a place, it’s the people waiting for you,” Shona wrote over the video of her homecoming posted to Instagram.

Shona’s mum Jennifer, could be seen wiping away tears before the camera panned to a large banner made welcoming Shona home.
The banner was emblazoned with photos of her time on I’m a Celeb and read, “Our queen of the jungle. We missed you. Welcome home.”
Shona also captioned the post: “The best welcome home I could ever imagine, my heart is so full.”
Her fans and co-stars rushed to congratulate the singer, including campmate Tom who wrote in the comments, “Heaven! Heaven! Xx”
“Welcome home you were amazing,” commented one fan.
Another wrote: “Awh this is the sweetest Shona everyone is so proud of you.”

And a third added: “Congratulations you were amazing in the jungle.”
Whilst in the jungle, Shona grew close to rapper Aitch but was surprised that viewers thought they’d formed a romantic connection, saying he is more like a brother.
Shona told The Sun: “Look, I’m sure Aitch would make someone a lovely boyfriend, but he’s a lot younger than me.
“I only see him as a brother, and I would only protect him as an older sister.
“And there was nothing romantic between me and Aitch at all. Like, not at all. Honestly, no. No way.”
Shona – who is hoping to launch a singing career after releasing her debut single, Unapologetically Me, in October – stunned campmates with her incredible voice.
She said she bonded with Aitch over music.
