HOTTEST NEWS TODAY!!! EastEnders airs dramatic Walford exit after Eve’s emotional turning point

EastEnders has aired a bitter exit for Eve Unwin-Panesar’s mum Norma after she refused to support her daughter’s choice to go through with the adoption.

Eve has been struggling since her mum rocked up in Walford and started to question her decision to adopt a child with wife Suki. In new scenes, Eve had disappeared, leaving Suki worried.

Norma, on the other hand, didn’t seem too concerned that Eve hadn’t come home. Determined to enjoy her time in London, she was on her way to Madame Tussauds, despite Suki urging her to wait for Eve to get back.

“I learned a long time ago not to let my daughter’s moods affect my day,” Norma told Suki.

As Eve returned home after a drunken night, she had made a decision about the adoption, telling Suki she no longer wanted to go through with it. “My mum’s right. I’m not fit to be a mother to any child,” she said.

Later on, Suki showed up at the bap van to have a chat with Eve, refusing to leave until they talked. “You cannot let your mum get you inside your head like this, Eve. She doesn’t know you anymore,” she said.

But Eve couldn’t be persuaded, insisting Norma did know her and still blamed her for her sister Erica’s death.

Later, Lily Slater asked Suki about Eve, saying she was worried about her. After Lily offered her help, Suki took her up on the offer and asked for a letter of reference for Eve.

Suki tracked Eve down again and read her Lily’s letter, detailing how Eve had been a mum to her – from doing TikTok dances with her to supporting her after Martin’s death.

“Any kid would be lucky if she was their mum,” Lily added.

Suki tried to convince Eve to see what everyone else could see in her and to move forward from her troubled past.

“Your past will just help you understand a child in ways that I can’t,” Suki said, urging Eve to read Lily’s letter in full.

At home, Eve mentioned the reference letter to her mum once more. But Norma refused, saying that Eve’s lifestyle should change before she could be a mum. The conversation quickly escalated, with Norma once again deeming Eve responsible for her sister Erica’s death.

“I was a kid. I was having fun and a dreadful thing happened, and I lost half of me,” Eve said.

“I have spent so long trying to get you to forgive me,” she continued. “I don’t need you to love me. I don’t need you to be there for me because I have my found family who love me no matter what.”

“Well, I don’t forgive you,” Norma said sternly, to which Suki demanded: “I think it’s time you left our home.”

As the couple saw Norma off, Eve told her mum she loved her, but Norma failed to acknowledge the gesture.

After the taxi pulled away, Suki told her wife: “I am so proud of you,” and the pair headed to The Albert for a drink.
