Daphne admits she heard rumors, and asks if this is difficult for him.Carter claims he’s happy for them putting their family back together. He’s looking to the future and new beginnings. Daphne turns her cheek as he tries to kiss her. Carter chuckles that if she wants him to work for it, he will.

 

 

 

At Il Giardino, Sheila wonders where Deacon has gone. Unsurprisingly, he’s over at Taylor’s office, where she tells him this won’t be a professional session… this discussion will be about the two of them.

He hopes she’s not cutting him loose. Taylor points out how inappropriate their exchanges have been on a number of levels. Deacon knows… but he can’t stop thinking about it. Taylor warns it “can’t happen again,” which we’ve all heard before. Deacon agrees, of course, but there’s little doubt where this is going.As Sheila texts Deacon to get back to her, Li appears at the restaurant to “check on her”. Bizarrely, the doctor starts counseling Sheila on how to save her marriage, urging her not to backtrack after she’s come so far. She’ll have to be patient. Sheila fears her future is in Taylor’s hands.

Back in Taylor’s office, she knows Deacon still loves Sheila and preaches that forgiveness can be healing. “There is no us, Deacon. I’m your doctor and you’re my patient.”

Sharpe explains that he just couldn’t be there after learning she was carrying this bombshell around… but he was reminded that they all make mistakes.Deacon warns he’s still hurt and upset, but he’s not ready to give up on their marriage. Sheila throws herself into his arms. She realizes that Taylor brought him back to her… she’ll never be able to repay her for this.
