Home and Away Spoilers: Jo’s Past Comes Back to Haunt Her as Ex-Boyfriend Arrives in Summer Bay
Romance and heartbreak collide this week in Home and Away as Jo’s new relationship with Tane faces an unexpected challenge. The arrival of a charming musician named Eddie Shepherd brings old emotions rushing back — and threatens to derail Jo’s budding happiness before it’s even begun.
A New Musician with a Familiar Face
When up-and-coming artist Eddie Shepherd (Stephen Madsen) rolls into Summer Bay looking to record music with Remi (Adam Rowland) and Sonny (Ryan Bown), it seems like an ordinary business deal. Remi is thrilled about the new partnership, eager to grow his label, while Eddie seems focused on getting his songs out into the world — particularly one heartfelt track about a friend going through tough times.
But what no one realizes at first is that Eddie’s connection to the Bay runs much deeper. That song, as it turns out, may have been written for someone special — Jo (Maddison Brown).
Old Feelings Resurface
While walking out of the Surf Club, Eddie bumps into old friend David (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor). Their reunion takes a nostalgic turn when Eddie immediately asks how Jo is doing. David, always the proud and protective father, fills him in on recent events — including the arrest of Jo’s mother’s killer and the emotional toll it has taken on the family.
Sensing that Eddie’s arrival might bring some much-needed positivity, David invites him to visit Jo and her sister Lacey (Sophea Pennington). He hopes reconnecting with Eddie might help them heal.
“David loves his daughters with all his heart,” Jeremy Lindsay Taylor told TV WEEK. “Having Lacey move in with him and Jo gives them the chance to rebuild their family — and Eddie showing up could be the start of that.”
Sparks Fly — But Not the Kind Tane Hoped For
When Jo opens the door and comes face-to-face with Eddie, her shock quickly turns to confusion. There’s warmth in their reunion, but also an undercurrent of tension — unfinished business that neither has truly moved past.
As they catch up, Lacey quietly observes, picking up on the chemistry between them. It’s clear that Eddie’s arrival has stirred something in Jo that she wasn’t prepared for.
But while Jo is reconnecting with her past, her present is calling — quite literally. Her phone lights up with a call from Tane Parata (Ethan Browne), excited about their date that evening. To his disappointment, Jo cancels at the last minute.
Later that night, Tane’s heart sinks further when he spots Jo and Eddie walking along the beach, deep in conversation.
Trouble in Paradise?
Jo may have intended to keep things friendly, but the sight of her with her ex leaves Tane wondering where he really stands. Has Eddie’s sudden reappearance reopened old wounds — or reignited an old flame?
As Eddie settles into the Bay and gets more involved with Remi’s music label, his presence could shake up more than just the studio. For Jo, balancing her past and present may prove harder than she imagined.
Will she choose to move forward with Tane, or will the pull of unfinished love draw her back to Eddie?
