Home and Away reveals ‘unthinkable’ twist in ‘catastrophic’ season finale: ‘Deadly’
The Home and Away season finale takes place on a train, leaving fans confused about where it came from.
Home and Away fans have been left puzzled after a preview for the show’s season finale aired on screens on Sunday night. The Aussie soap has urged fans to “brace for impact” as the season finale will see some Summer Bay favourites on a train “destined for disaster”.
Channel 7 has teased that the finale will feature “one of the most shocking disasters in the show’s 38-year history”. Which is huge, considering the bizarre things that have happened on the show, including people being held hostage after joining a cult, kidnappings, a telepathic twins storyline, shark attacks and more.

“In Home and Away’s final week of the year, a number of the Bay’s residents board a party train en route to Off the Rails, a three-day musical festival in Broken Hill, where Remi (Adam Rowland) and Sonny (Ryan Bown) have secured a performance slot for their newest signing, Eddie Shepherd (Stephen Madsen),” Channel 7 shared in a statement.
“Inside the train carriage, spirits are high, music is pumping, and the drinks are flowing… there’s even a surprise proposal set to drop jaws.
“But as music and laughter echo through the train, the festival-goers are unaware they are on a catastrophic collision course with disaster.
“A deadly derailment will trigger chaos and carnage, with passengers plunged into an unthinkable nightmare.”
They teased that “for some, it’s the end of the line,” and questioned who would survive the impact.
It appears that once the train departs and everyone is celebrating on board, two teenagers are spraying graffiti on the inside of the tunnel.
While the teens manage to escape, their bikes are left on the tracks, blocking the train’s path and causing the major crash.

After the Home and Away social pages shared the finale teaser, many people were left confused about one thing – when did Summer Bay get a train?
“There’s never been a train in Summer Bay!” another added
“Wow! In all these years of H&A…they have a train scene?” a confused viewer wrote.
Some were surprised that the show had gone down the route of a train crash, with one person saying they are “very surprised” that it’s not “an explosion or fire for the season finale” – two tried and tested options over the years.
Another person joked that the show was “spicing things up” with the train crash idea.
Who will survive the Home and Away train crash?

Given that the show is shot several months in advance, we know that almost everyone will return to screens after the train crash.
However, Stephen Madsen, who plays Eddie, hasn’t been seen filming the show in Palm Beach in recent months, so could it mean he doesn’t make it?
Sonny (Ryan Bown), however, has been seen in recent weeks in a wheelchair – could it be a result of the train crash?
Time will tell!
Home and Away’s finale week will air this month, but the exact dates have yet to be revealed.
