General Hospital star Maurice Benard (Sonny) kicked off the new year with a powerful message and a family moment.

Benard often gives fans a look at his life beyond the ABC soap. One of those moments happened just after the new year, and Benard used it to share a special reminder.

Taking to Instagram, Benard posted a video of his grandson Milo with his goat, Buddy. The video featured Milo asking Buddy where his mommy was. When Buddy didn’t answer, Milo went to his grandpa to ask the same question.

“Where is his mommy?” Mileo asked Benard. The actor, though, made a joke out of it, claiming he couldn’t understand the boy.

It was an adorable and relatable moment as Benard admitted, “A lot of times I just don’t understand what he said.” The language barrier aside, Milo was having the best time with Buddy, and Bernard got a kick out of watching them.

In his caption, Benard has some words of wisdom he hopes fans will take to heart in 2026.

“Is there a better way to start the new year? Hanging out with the one and only BUDDY THE GOAT and my grandson BABY MILO I think we’re all striving for something life can be tough and can take you places you may not want to go NVER STOP STRIVING I promise you you will be better because of it Life is meant to be lived to the fullest Let’s make this The year of positive thoughts let’s spread love, not hate and remember there is no one in the world like you,” he wrote in the caption.

“Happy New Year Maurice! Milo is precious! I love your goats they are beautiful. I wish you and your beautiful family a very happy, healthy, and most of all peaceful New Year! 🎊🎉❤️🎉🎊,” expressed a fan.

One fan added, “Baby Milo is getting big!! He’s super adorable and of course Buddy the goat. What could be better family, fresh air and a new year. May this year bring you and your amazing family positive things and yes keep striving! We all can benefit from your wisdom and outlook on life🙌❤️❤️❤️ Happy 2016, Maurice 🙌🙌🙌.”

There’s no question that Milo and Buddy the goat steal the show in the video. However, this isn’t he first time Milo has shown up his grandpa on social media.

As Parade reported, Milo was too cute for words in a video where Benard taught his grandson a long-time family tradition.
