Former Home and Away Star Tessa James Shares Emotional Cancer Update as Husband Pays Tribute

A decade after her heartbreaking diagnosis, former Home and Away star Tessa James has shared the happiest update of her life — she is officially cancer-free.

The 33-year-old actress, who portrayed Nicole Franklin on the long-running Seven Network drama from 2008 to 2011, revealed the milestone in an emotional Instagram post this week, marking ten years since her treatment began.

“Ten Years Ago Today…”

A Journey of Strength and Vulnerability

Tessa has been open over the years about the emotional toll of her diagnosis and recovery. In past interviews, she described the experience as both humbling and transformative.

“For me, it was a process. The plan of attack was to survive, and whatever that entailed, I was willing to do,” she told The Sydney Morning Herald in 2016.

She also shared with Women’s Health in 2018 that cancer “strips you of who you are — not only physically but mentally,” but that it ultimately strengthened her family bond. “It brought us closer because they’ve seen you in places and doing things that no one else has.”Tessa James celebrates remission after cancer battle | Daily Mail Online
