Exclusive: General Hospital’s Adam Huss Flips the Script With New Movie — Think ‘Hallmark Meets The Bachelor’
General Hospital star Adam Huss is trading soap opera twists for reality-show chaos in a Christmas 2026 romance that feels ripped straight from The Bachelor mansion.
The holiday comedy, Mistletoe Mansion, is currently in production, and as Huss described it, it’s the perfect movie for reality show fans.
“If anyone who’s a fan of The Bachelor or Bachelorette, which I know there are a lot out there… it’s a mashup of a wonderful Hallmark Christmas movie meets one of those reality shows with two very fun reality stars in the movie as well,” he said in a recent interview with Soaps.com.
The movie also stars two familiar faces in the reality show universe, The Challenge‘s Cara Maria Sorbello and Big Brother‘s Rachel Reilly. Huss plays Jimmy, the director of the reality dating show within the film’s meta-narrative, who hopes that his leading lady follows the Hollywood script for a happy ending. Of course, it never works out that way.
Huss knew from the get-go that this was the perfect project for him. “As soon as I started reading the script, I was like, ‘Oh, this is funny and heartfelt.’ So, there are some great, fun twists,” he explained.
He described the storyline as somewhat adjacent to the Lifetime show, UnREAL, which ran for four seasons on the network. The scripted show was a dark comedy that provided a behind-the-scenes look at the chaos surrounding the production of a dating competition program, which bore a striking resemblance to the real-life reality series, The Bachelor.

“I just feel like this is so in the zeitgeist of what people are wanting right now,” Huss added.
With such a fun spin on holiday movies, we had to ask Huss whether he was a low-key unscripted show fan himself — and he had a surprising answer for us.
“Yeah, to be honest with you, I used to love The Amazing Race and Survivor. We watched Traitors. I liked it a lot,” he admitted. “I get sucked into these shows, and I am so busy with other work and trying to get things off the ground as a producer and a writer… but I can’t commit to that many seasons.”
