Exclusive: EastEnders’ Jessie Wallace reveals Zoe return plot is far from over
EastEnders actor Jessie Wallace has teased that there’s more to come from Zoe Slater’s flashback storyline.
Zoe recently turned up on Albert Square again after months of teasing, and mum Kat got her to her to open up about her situation, while flashback scenes revealed even more.
Viewers saw that Zoe tried to hire a private investigator to help find the child she gave up, but the lead the PI found turned out to be a creep who demanded more money than agreed and tried to force himself upon her.
She hit him over the head with a lamp and left him unconscious, unsure if he she had killed him or not.
And the storyline is far from over, as Wallace exclusively told Digital Spy at the National Television Awards this week that “there’s a lot more to come”.
The actor also stated that she is really enjoying performing alongside Michelle Ryan again after so many years.
“Oh, it’s amazing,” she said. “I’ve loved having her back. It’s great working with Michelle again.”
We’re going to see the flashback storyline revisited as soon as next week, as Zoe confides in Stacey about her attacker, and they go to find out if he’s really dead or not.
There’s also Zoe’s relationship with Max Branning, who she is trying to keep away from Walford despite his concerns about her. We know he’s going to return to Albert Square soon, and it’s sure to be hugely dramatic.
