Every Major Star Joining The Yellowstone Universe After Kevin Costner’s Exit
The Yellowstone franchise is already the most relevant neo-Western TV series, and it’s partially thanks to creator Taylor Sheridan but also
to its star-studded cast. The original show, led by iconic actor Kevin Costner, already put the series in the cultural forefront. As the
franchise continues to grow through its many spin-offs, more iconic and beloved faces join the Sheridanverse.

With a career spanning six decades, Kurt Russell boasts an extensive filmography with more than 100 projects. He started as a child actor, one of the most iconic Disney faces in the 1970s, and transitioned into films for every genre as an adult. He’s known for iconic roles in action blockbusters like Colonel Jack O’Neil in Stargate, Snake Plissken in Escape from New York, and more recently as Mr. Nobody in Fast & Furious. He even appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ego, Peter Quill’s powerful and selfish father. More importantly, Russell is well-known for his portrayal of Wyatt Earp in the popular Western movie Tombstone, which makes him an excellent star to join the Yellowstone franchise.

Kurt Russell will appear in the Yellowstone spin-off, The Madison, which will follow a New Yorker family moving to Montana. Russell will both act in the series and participate as an executive producer. Even though there is a lot of information already about The Madison and the role the cast will play in this new series, Russell’s character is still a mystery. Since he’s such a big star, he will probably get a fantastic role, and fans are excited to see how Russell makes his own impact on the Sheridanverse.
Matthew Fox doesn’t have as extensive a career as other big stars coming to the Yellowstone franchise, but he played two of the most iconic roles on television. Fox had his breakout role in the family drama Party of Five, where he played the responsible older brother, Charlie Salinger, taking care of his siblings for 6 years, warming the hearts of all viewers. A little after that, he went on to become the leading character, Jack Shephard, on the popular science fiction show, Lost. The show was a cultural phenomenon throughout the 2000s, and Fox’s role is known to almost everyone who owns a TV. Fox even received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series. From then on, Fox has made a career in dramas and action films, including the horror Western Bone Tomahawk.
So far, Paramount has only said that Fox’s character will be named Paul and that he will be a “self-reliant bachelor who loves the outdoors.” Since his character doesn’t have a last name yet, whether he will be a part of the McIntosh family, a love interest, or an antagonist is still unknown. However, if this role is half as iconic as the ones he already has under his sleeve, it surely will be memorable.
Logan Marshall-Green might not be a huge household name, but he’s appeared in tremendously mainstream roles, making him one of the most recognizable faces of a generation. Of course, his most relevant and iconic role is Charlie Holloway in Prometheus, one of the many outstanding films in the Alien franchise. However, he is also known for playing Ryan Atwood’s problematic brother, Trey, in the teenage drama The O.C. Additionally, he has a small appearance as antagonist Jackson Brice in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
