Emmerdale star Michael Parr welcomes first baby with girlfriend and reveals gorgeous name
Emmerdale star and fan favourite Michael Parr has welcomed his first baby with his partner.
The actor, who plays Ross Barton in the ITV soap, announced the joyous news this weekend, sharing that his girlfriend, Isabelle Du Plessis, had given birth to a daughter.

New dad Michael, 39, cradled their sleeping little girl in a wholesome snap shared on Instagram, showing her wearing a tiny knitted hat and wrapped in a bear blanket embroidered with ‘Baby Parr’.
Revealing her name, Isabelle wrote in the post’s caption: ‘Welcome to the world Suzie Rose Parr’.
Other intimate photos shared by the happy parents included Michael carrying Suzie out of the hospital to take her home, plus doting mum Isabelle holding her to her chest moments after their firstborn arrived.

Upon making it home as a family of three for the first time, Michael and Isabelle were also quick to introduce Suzie to their pooch and capture the introduction on camera.
Meanwhile, Emmerdale co-stars and fans have been inundating them with congratulatory messages.
Bradley Riches, aka on-screen brother Lewis Barton, commented: ‘Love you! X’, while Amelia Flanagan commented love hearts.
Emmerdale viewers also fawned over how ‘beautiful’ the tot was.
Michael began playing the role of Ross in 2013. He remained at Emmerdale until 2018 before departing, but returned as the character in 2024.
Just months after leaving, Michael admitted he had grown ‘bored’ due to a lack of work.
When announcing his return, he said he was ‘over the moon’, having grown very ‘fond’ of Ross as a character.
During his time in the Dales, he’s been at the centre of many hard-hitting storylines, most famously that of an acid attack, which left Ross’ face permanently disfigured.
Off-screen, prior to dating his current girlfriend, Michael was romancing his co-star Isabelle Hodgins, who plays Victoria Sugden. They separated in 2019.
He and Isabelle then announced their baby news in May this year, as she debuted her bump and wrote in her Insta caption: ‘In our Mum & Dad Era 🐥👶🏼’
Fellow actors were quick to share the pair’s happiness, with the likes of Nikki Sanderson, Anthony Quinlan, and Michelle Hardwick writing comments.
In a later post following their babymoon, Isabelle opened up about her pregnancy, saying at the 23-week mark that it had been the ‘wildest ride of [her] life’.
‘I’ve thrown up for 238 days in a row, I’ve been in hospital numerous times, I’ve been incapacitated by exhaustion, dehydration and emotion,’ she penned. ‘But every time I feel that little flutter in my tummy every tear, sleepless night and second spent on the bathroom floor is worth it.’
