Paddy is chuffed to hear Dylan wants to learn to drive and offers to teach him himself – unwittingly helping Ray.

April is edgy on seeing Ray and appalled to hear where Dylan’s and her current debt stands. Ray suggests there’s ways she could bring their debt down faster – and soon she is well and truly reeled in.

 

 

Ray takes her to a car park where he lays out the basics of the role. An encounter with a beaten-up lad reminds April of the consequences of messing things up.

After successfully executing a demo deal, April takes on a burner phone, thus making her a full-time dealer for Ray.

Meanwhile, Liam is finally honest with Chas, who is devastated to hear her partner is fearing a prostate cancer diagnosis.

Emmerdale’s John Sugden plays his ace card next week as he boldly blackmails Caleb Miligan over their dark secret. Will Caleb crumble under the pressure, or stand up to the ruthless villain? There are no easy answers for him…

 

 

As John desperately looks for a way to escape from the police and flee abroad, he decides that Caleb owes him a favour.

Next week’s episodes see police officers keep a close watch over the village, aware that John is still at large and ready to pose a major threat.

They’re right to be worried, as John is hiding out at his half-sister Victoria’s home and is preparing to carry out one final act of revenge…

“Victoria and Robert have no idea that John is lurking at the cottage,” our Emmerdale insider explains. “When they arrive home, they send Victoria’s young son Harry inside – unaware that there’s an intruder lying in wait.

“John is looming with a syringe of poison ready for Robert. He’s always insisted that he’s not a murderer, but it looks like he might make an exception where Robert is concerned!”

Events take a turn when Robert and Victoria discuss whether John ever really cared about Victoria.

Feeling stung by their words, John reconsiders his vengeful actions and rushes away.

John doesn’t go far, though, turning up at Caleb’s depot to confront him. Much to Caleb’s horror, John immediately mentions the leverage he has over him and his wife Ruby – Anthony Fox’s murder.

Earlier this year, John hid Anthony’s body after the evil abuser had been killed by his daughter Ruby. He has never shared the true location with Caleb, Ruby or the other co-conspirators involved in covering up Anthony’s demise.

“John asks for Caleb’s help with getting out of the country,” our insider confirms. “Caleb isn’t keen to help John as his reign of terror has destroyed the Dingles, but John shamelessly uses Anthony’s death to blackmail him.

“It’s certainly a tough position for Caleb to be in. If he complies with John’s demands, he’s protecting everyone involved in the cover-up – including Cain, Chas and Aaron. But Aaron and Cain are still likely to be furious if John gets away without punishment…”

The next day, Caleb sneaks out of the house but Ruby catches him and demands to know what’s going on.
