It’s Nicola King vs Kev Townsend next week on Emmerdale, as a secret is under threat.
A DNA bombshell leaves Nicola desperate to stop Kev in his tracks, fearing for another resident. Viewers will have seen this week Nicola realised that Kev could well be the biological father of Lewis Barton.
Lewis has been working with Nicola in the café for a while now and they’ve developed a sweet bond. Nicola knows all about Lewis being adopted, and the fact his biological mother is late villain Emma Barton.
Of course she also knew Lewis’ dad wasn’t in the picture, and recently uncovered he’d been in prison in Leeds for years. So when she put two and two together this week and realised that that man was Kev, she was visibly horrified.
She wasn’t the only one making the realisation though, as Kev has also grown closer to Lewis this week. After a chat with him, he found out who his late mother was and knew it was his former flame Emma.

Next week, new spoilers have revealed that Nicola is desperate to stop Lewis finding out that Kev may be his father. Of course there’s trouble when she realises that Kev knows about Lewis.
As Lewis and Kev continue to get to know each other in the café, Nicola intervenes to end their chat. But Kev knows exactly what she’s up to, and tells her that he knows that she knows Lewis may be his secret son.
Nicola’s infuriated, and she decides to try to convince Kev to stay away from Lewis. Kev has other ideas though, and he makes it clear he’s going nowhere and he plans to get to know his son.

Tensions rise between the pair, and knowing what Kev is capable of, it looks as though he could lose it. He manages to remain calm though as Nicola continues to stick the boot in.
As she demands he leaves Lewis well alone, she’s unsure whether he will do as he’s told. She changes tactic, and encourages Lewis to stay away from his ‘new pal’ Kev, hoping he never learns the truth.
But Lewis can tell something is going on and that Nicola is hiding something from him. Will he find out the truth that Kev may be his father? Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out what happens next, and if Kev will spill the beans to Lewis.
