Emmerdale reveals four shocking ways John could be caught out in huge episode

The drama intensified on Emmerdale as John Sugden came in the crosshairs of four characters.

The villainous doctor has been wreaking havoc in the Dales in recent months, with the storyline taking an even darker turn last week as he took Mackenzie Boyd – who discovered his various crimes – hostage.

Meanwhile, Moira expressed scepticism that Mack would suddenly leave for seemingly no reason, though Charity was in a belligerent mood as remarked “good riddance” to her captured husband.

Tracy was another who shared some doubt on the apparent version of events, with the character becoming increasingly suspicious that Owen wasn’t the one who killed her husband, Nate.

As she spoke with Charity regarding Mack’s incident, she noticed an alarming similarity to her own situation, where Nate vanished without a trace before a mysterious message came to her phone.

Elsewhere in the episode, John cracked on with his plan to control Aaron via the drugging of a whiskey bottle, though it may soon backfire. Feeling the stress of the situation, he called Paddy on a mental health helpline.

The killer made a big error, though, as he shared too many personal details, with Paddy eventually clocking that John was on the other end. As John returned home, he noticed that Aaron had consumed more alcohol than intended.

The problems piled up as he spotted in his various cameras that Mack had escaped, though he promptly recaptured him. The storyline took another twist, though, as a weary Aaron stumbled around in the woods and found John’s bunker…

Though John managed to salvage the immediate situation, could it be game over in the near future given that Moira, Tracy, Paddy and Aaron all have reason to doubt the official version of events?
