Emmerdale just planted a major Coronation Street crossover clue – did you spot it?

We’re getting closer to 2026, which means it won’t be long until we sit down to witness Emmerdale and Coronation Street residents interact with each other for the first time.

Corriedale, which will air in January, will see characters from the Dales and Weatherfield involved in a major storyline that will change lives forever.

We already know that Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) will definitely feature, and an Easter Egg was dropped in a Coronation Street episode earlier this year that featured a picture of John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) in the police station lobby.

In tonight’s episode, another clue was dropped that has helped set the foundations of this major event in the new year.

At Wishing Well cottage, Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) was busy investigating the electrics in the house after the power went out. He explained to Sam Dingle (James Hooton) that the wiring needed doing again, and it would cost the family at least £2,000, but probably more.

With the family skint anyway, Sam and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) panicked over how to raise the money. On top of this, they were also busy trying to secure some Jason Donovan tickets for Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), which cost about £200.

Sam came up with an idea, but it involved going behind Kim Tate’s (Claire King) back and also taking a risk where being on the right side of the law is concerned.

Sam explained to Belle that they could sell Christmas trees from Home Farm for £50 each and very quickly, they’d make enough money to fix the electrics, and have some for the Jason Donovan tickets.

As far as Sam was concerned, no electrics and not being able to impress his wife was a major crisis.

‘I’ve got a bridezilla in Manchester demanding that a choir sings at her wedding, that’s a crisis!’, she pointed out.

Given the upcoming Corriedale event, it’s safe to assume that Belle is talking about Coronation Street’s Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), who is busy planning her wedding to Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan).

She’s using Take a Vow for wedding prep, but it seems Debbie cannot resist trying to take control of the wheel.

Debbie recently took over a dementia choir on the cobbles, so it’s highly likely this is the group of people she’d like to sing on the big day.

Belle eventually agreed to help Sam with the plan – but is it going to pay off?
