Emmerdale is off air tonight – here’s when the soap returns to ITV1
Soap fans will be disappointed tonight as Emmerdale is off air due to an ITV schedule shake-up.
The show typically airs on weeknights at 7.30pm while also being able to stream on ITVX, but tonight, there will be no new episode due to the international friendly football match between England and Wales.

The teams will face off against each other at Wembley Stadium, with coverage starting at 7pm and kick-off at 7.45pm.
Emmerdale fans need not fear though, as the soap will return to our screens on Friday night with a 30-minute episode at 7.30pm.
It’s not the only scheduling shake-up Emmerdale will experience, however, as on Tuesday, October 14, the soap will again be pulled from ITV1.

Latvia and England are set to face off in the FIFA World Cup Group K qualifier on this date, with live coverage again running from 7pm until 10.05pm with a 7.45pm kick off
When the soap returns tomorrow, a bombshell is dropped on Jimmy King and Nicola Wheeler when police arrive in the village.
They arrive at their home to inform Jimmy and Nicola that their son, Carl Holliday, has been accused of sharing an indecent image of Dawn Taylor’s adopted daughter, Clemmie Reed.

Carl is interviewed by the police following the revelation, deepening the growing rift between the two families.
Clemmie later explains to Dawn why she sent the photo to Carl, leaving Dawn racked by guilt ahead of a conversation with Nicola, which goes horribly wrong.
Nicola and Laurel Thomas later come to the realisation that they are unsure what their children are viewing online, and band together to safeguard them.
Dawn, meanwhile, speaks to the school about the lack of support offered to Clemmie in the wake of her ordeal, leading her to open up about her own traumatic past.
