EastEnders to expose damning new clue in Anthony death mystery
EastEnders will expose damning new evidence following the shocking death of Anthony Trueman, which has rocked Walford. The character was found dead in The Vic on Christmas Day, with only Zoe Slater known to be at the scene.
Zoe and Anthony got involved in a confrontation following the various revelations about their past relationship, with Anthony lying to his former partner about the fate of their twins, who he said had died.
Newcomer Jasmine Fisher was revealed to be the pair’s daughter, though she was harbouring secrets of her own as it was confirmed that she had been Zoe’s stalker (alongside the returning Chrissie Watts).
Friday’s (26 December) episode saw Jasmine and Kat consider the possibility that Chrissie was responsible for Anthony’s death, though Zoe was in hot water with the police as she had barely any recollection about the incident after falling unconscious.
In scenes set to air Monday and Tuesday (29 and 30 December), Zoe will continue to be questioned by law enforcement, though she does get some support as lawyer Ritchie Scott arrives at the request of Kat and Alfie.
It’s revealed that Anthony had suffered two injuries, with Chrissie being mooted as a potential suspect. Zoe calls Kat later on, and makes her mother promise to not go after Chrissie in the fear that it will cause damage to Jasmine.
Elsewhere in Albert Square, Patrick is demanding answers following the death of his son, but he doesn’t get any information from the police. Bereft and angry, he heads to No.31 and confronts Kat.
The following day, Kat is panicked as she is running out of time to find Chrissie before Zoe heads to trial, with Jasmine fleeing from the area after she jumps to the wrong conclusion in a conversation with Kat.
Jasmine eventually speaks to Oscar Branning and confides her true identity, and he encourages her to speak to Patrick, who would be her grandfather. Things don’t go as expected, however – what could possibly have happened?
